how do the transports objects in MM?

how can we transports objects in MM from development server to production server? what is the tcode?

This MUST not be done by MM consultant.

Strongly suggest you to leave this task to Basis experts.

I hope 'Transports' have been set up between Dev system & Prod system. Were you prompted with creation of transport request when you configure in MM ?

Hello Les,

Addition to Ramki's response,

When you do any configuration or developements in developement server, these changes are saved under change request. (The sytem will assign change request number for your changes). As a functional consultant, you need to cross check this change request in SE09 or SE10 transaction code and release the change request.

The rest of the part, BASIS guy will take care of this.

Thanks for your reply guys but what i meant is how to create a transport request in MM in other words how to create a change request to be transorted from Dev to Prod. what is the tcode where do i go in IMG to create a transprot and release it?

for example in my area BW( business information warehouse) when i go to AWD(RSA1) there is a tab that says transport connect here i collect all the objects that i like to trasport and click on the transport truck icon. know how do i do this in MM?

Hi Les

When you do any configuration relevant for transport, system prompts you to create transport request. You do not need todo specially.

For releasing transport requests, use Txn code: SE10

You can have your own transport created by clicking Create Request Icon when you save any config. change that prompts customizing request.
