How can I modify an UDF value in a partially supplied row in SBO?

Hello,

I created 3 UDFs for rows of Marketing Documents that I need them for Purchase Orders.

When a line is open, there is no problem, I can modify the contents of these fields, but if the items are partially supplied, all the UDFs are locked.

The curious thing is that if I try to modify a native field, such as the shipping date of the same line, it's not locked.

How is it possible that I can modify information that could have some functionality for SAP, but modifying some fields that I created for my company needs is blocked?

Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

Thank you...

Hi,

This is standard system behavior when there is an partial transactions.

Not possible to modify the information after partial transaction.

Thanks & Regards,

It's ok, Naga.

As I was explaining, I don't understand the the reason why, while a native field is editable, a field that I created for my company's needs is locked. It's a very strange kind of standard.

But isn't there any external tool, add-on or something that I could use to be able to edit my fields?

Thank you very much,

the way we solved this problema was duplicating the line partially supplied and decreasing the quantity down to the supplied quantity in the original line so it got closed, meanwhile we decreased the quantity in the copy line down to the open quantity of the original line.

I don't think it's the optimal solution and I still don't believe it's correct (as a matter of fact, I believe its incorrect) that my own UDFs are blocked when the lines are partially supplied; so I think this standard should be reviewed.

The way we had to solve this issue makes us spend valuable time, when it would be million times easier if there was not such a strange behavior.

Hi Ernesto Cervantes ...

1. When You have partial type of entry the SAP allow to edit where as not in the fully posted documents.

2. You can Use Transaction notification to block edit or you can use form setting to disable the edit option

Hope Helpful

Hi Ernesto,

When the request is copied part there are some fields that are free to change, but can be blocked via TransactionNotification. When completely copied the line is blocked.
