How can I Copy Material Master in S/4HANA Public Cloud?

How can I Copy Material Master in S/4HANA Public Cloud? We have a requirement in a Chemical Industry where we have to Mask Material Description as they can be seen by the Master Data Team but while creating a PR/PO that description needs to be masked to something generic.

Since we do not have Masking mechanism in Public Cloud through SAP Security how can we duplicate this Material Creation in another Material Group. Customer does not want any manual task. It should be automatically be created at the point of Unmasked Material Creation.

What approach should be the Best?

SAP Business Process Automation

SAP Build Automation

SAP Custom Business Object

Etc.

Please also kindly provide steps and an API that we can use to achieve this.

Hi Arghadip

Product Master records can be copied in Manage Product Master Data app but Masking Material Description is not possible . If you want to create materials automatically then you can create your own custom app

using API_PRODUCT_SRV and populate the description with whatever logic / format you wish
