Hi,

Customer has 150GB cloud storage. how this will be consumed when customer wants to attach file in purchase order, purchase requisition, sales order, journal entry etc.,
For E.g,

1 File = 20MB

Total File to be attached = 3000 files

How much cloud storage will be consumed in this case?  60GB (60,000 MB) or lesser? How is this measured?

Thanks in Advance,

Regards,

Manimaran K

Hi Manimaran,

is your question now if a 20 MB file takes 20 MB of storage? Yes how else would the file be stored?

Per file you have a 100 MB limit size. But you can upload multiple attachments to one object. So for instance you could split a 200 MB PDF by splitting it in the middle of the pages and attach two PDFs with each 100 MB.

Hi Manimaran,

Good Day..!

As far as i know, SAP has never mentioned any restrictions about uploading attachments. However, the file size should not be more than 100 MB, that is the only restriction I know.

I'm curious to know, how did you come to know that customer has 150 GB cloud storage capacity?

You can refer the blow link, where SAP expert has responded to a similar question like yours,

Thanks ,

Hi Adiyaraja, Thanks for the response.

All the attachments will consume HANA DB memory. This is confirmed but I'm not sure if any sizing changes when the attachment consumes the HANA DB memory.

150GB is decided based on FUE purchased by the customer

Link that you have provided is not discussing about the consumption of HANA DB memory for the attachments.
