Higher priority work order reservation should not be able to access the stock allocated for such low

Hi Team,

when we have multiple Work orders, the highest priority work order will take away the stock from work order reservation with lowest priority.
As a result of this activity, when they do maintenance for low priority work orders, there is no stock available most times.

So, business has asked for a solution to make the reservation for such low priority as hard reservations. Meaning a higher priority work order reservation should not be able to access the stock allocated for such low priority order.

In such situation you can do an enhancement in work order. If the priority is low and user wants to block the material specifically for the order then at the time of saving the order the material will automatically transferred to a virtual storage location (HARD). Now this storage location will be copied in ur order under component tab. The same storage location will populate automatically at the time of goods issue. The other order will not be able to issue it because it has the normal storage location in order.

So no need to put any HARD indicator on reservation. Transfer your material to HARD location where others cannot issue it. In the maintenance order component tab the storage location should be grey and at the time of MIGO the storage location cannot be selected as HARD manually. Otherwise person with storage location as normal can manually change the storage location and try to get material from HARD storage location.
