Handling Unit Management in SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Hi Experts,

I am trying to work with Handling Units in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

The idea is to manually create Handling Units in SAP and then create outbound deliveries assigned to these Handling Units.

I am looking for an APP to create Handling Units in the system (Tcode HU02 in on-premise systems). 

Is it possible to follow this process flow in SAP S/4HANA Cloud?

I will also like to know if it is possible to create Handling Units via API.

Hi Jorge,

the short answer to your question is: Yes, you can work with Handling Units in S4HC.

Cloud WM supports Handling Units on Stock level and Inbound/Outbound Deliveries. This is described in the Warehouse Management Scope Items on Best Practice Explorer (E.g. 3DV) For example you can pack Materials during receipt from production, store them in your storage bin and delivery the Handling Unit to your customer.

Since 2002 it has been enabled to create Handling Units in (LE-)Outbound Deliveries.

This can be done by App Change/Create Outbound Delivery (VL02N).

IM managed Handling Units and API based creation of Handling Units is not supported yet. But maybe the above mentioned processes are fitting to your needs.

I will check if the processes mentioned above fit our needs.

In any case, it will be great if an API to create handling units in the system is developed.
