Hi,
How to configure half day leave
Thanks in advance
Pls tel me how to configure Rounding Rule for the below scenario:
If the absence is 1hr - 4 hrs then sys should consider that as half day leave, if it is more than 4 hrs then sys should consider that as full day leave.
I tried creating rounding rule but some how my requirement is not full filling.
Appreciate your suggestions

Rajesh,
My below veiws are regarding unpaid absence only, but if your concern of paid leaves then everything is possible as other experts are saying in one absence type you can have both cases.
If you are using ECC 5.0 or less version of SAP then you can fulfill your half and full day LOP concept in one absence type.
but in ECC 6.0 version for fulfilling this requirement in negative TM is difficult or not possible as per my knowledge.
So as told by Sikindar earlier you should require to configure two absences as full day LOP and Haf day LOP and as per ur requirement you need to make 50% in valuation table i.e. V_T554C as mentioned and in IT2001 u have to apply full day leave for your HLOP but system will consider haf day as per table V_T554C.
Hope you understood.
All the best.
Regards,
TATA.

Hi,
You need to configure one rounding rule and assign that in counting rule days and hours field.

Hi Rajesh,
You can configure this in Counting Rules...
Personnel Time Mgmt > Time Data recording & Administration > Absences > Absence Catalog > Absence Counting > Rules for Absence Counting
After executing this, goto section "Conditions for Attendances / Absence"
Select the Check box "< 1 Day"
This will take care of Half day Absences.
In case you were looking for any specific information, please post that, so that the exterts here in the forum can help you with that...
Best Regards,
Venkat.

You have to create an Absence Time Type.
If the Absence (or Attendance) must impact a Quota, make sure your Absence Counting Rule (table T556C) include the condition for absence/attendance of less than one day ( < 1 day), or that you add a Counting Rule for that condition.
