Guidance Required on Deletion or Retention of Component DMIS_CNT 2011_1_731 During Upgrade

During planning an upgrade project for SAP system you have identified that the component DMIS_CNT 2011_1_731 is installed in your landscape. As part of the upgrade, you want to confirm whether this component can be safely deleted or should be retained.

1. Whether DMIS_CNT 2011_1_731 is still required for the upgraded system?

2. If it is obsolete or deprecated, what is the recommended procedure for safely removing it?

3. If it must be retained, are there any prerequisites or compatibility notes we should be aware of?

As per below SAP Notes :

2203365 - Uninstalling DMIS 2011_1_7xx / DMIS 2018_1_752

1577442 - Installation and delta upgrade of DMIS_CNT 2011_1

DMIS_CNT cannot be uninstalled.

Please be aware that there is no general DMIS deinstallation available.  

The deinstallation is also not possible of the following components:

• DMIS 2010, DMIS 2006
• DMIS_CNT 2011, DMIS_CNT 2006
• DMIS_EXT
• SAP TDMS EXT BPL 3.0
• DMIS_BSC
• DMIS_MOB
• DMIS_HR
• NMI_CONT

. Prerequisites for Installing DMIS_CNT 2011_1

• You cannot uninstall DMIS_CNT.
  Before you install DMIS_CNT, note that it is not possible to uninstall ABAP add-ons. Further restrictions concerning the upgrade and maintenance of your SAP system that are caused by the installation of an add-on are described in release strategy note 1231203.

Few customers have tried uninstalling from SAINT but it shows dependency with other BASIS objects in higher release.

Hence, it corrupts the system.
