Goods Receipt of a material

Hi Team,

When we do goods receipt of a material for an existing equipment does the equipment need to be in store?

Hello @Jaya0511 ,

At a high level, there is no need for equipment to be in store. But it will depend upon few factors, such as whether you are using serial numbers and whether the equipment was purchased for the first time at that time GR or you are sending the equipment outside your manufacturing unit for refurbishment/repair to a supplier and now posting GR to receive the equipment as material.
