GL Open Items - Migration Cockpit - XREF1, XREF2, XREF3 fields not available in Template.

We are doing a S4 HANA Public Cloud implementation and migrating GL Open Items template using Migration Cockpit.

The Reference Key 1, Reference Key 2 & Reference Key 3 fields are currently not available in the GL Open Items Data Template.

 Our Technical team have checked the backend data and the functional team  did the activation of the field. We did the check of Update in the Migration Cockpit and download the Data template still the above three fields are missing.

The above three fields are available in AR & AP Open Items template so request anyone have faced similar issue and any resolution will be highly appreciated.

Dear @Rajesh_Das,

In Public Cloud you can’t activate standard fields to force them into a Migration Cockpit template. The Migration Cockpit template is generated from the delivered migration object structure / released API.

For G/L Open Items, SAP delivered object structure simply doesn’t include Reference Key 1/2/3 (XREF1/2/3)

Option A (Recommended): Create 3 Custom Fields as the replacement. If the business goal is store 3 legacy reference values and report/filter later, do this:

1. Custom Fields app
• Create 3 fields for example YY1_REFKEY1, YY1_REFKEY2, YY1_REFKEY3
2. Publish
3. Back in Migration Cockpit app
4. Re-download the template those custom fields should appear as new columns

This is the standard Public Cloud-safe workaround.

Option B: Map the legacy values into a standard field that does exist in the G/L template if you only need the values for traceability

Option C: Raise SAP Incident about missing fields or accept a redesign option A or B
