Get rid of an information message

Hi Experts,

Would you please help me to get rid of the following information message?

Serial numbers of item 000010 not copied

Message no. V1528

I'll try to brief the scenario, we have sales orders & delivery where automatic serial numbers are assigned for products, then we renew these products with renewal contracts and sales orders but with text item categories only. I understand because of the text item categories the serial numbers are not being copied, that's standard behaviour, thus, how can I remove these warnings? to make sure this won't affect our delivery process.

I just want these information messages to be removed, is it possible?

Hi Sambit,

You've written "then we renew these products with renewal contracts and sales orders but with text item categories only. ", can you please explain how do you renew them? Do you copy from one sales document to another? If that's so, in copy control customizing for item categories from your standard item to text item, enhance a new routine and do not copy vbap-sernr to the new item. or clear vbap-sernr at the end of the routine This way this message will not be raised.

If you try to copy vbap-sernr in the routine, this message would be raised, as messages with message type V1 cannot be customized.
