1. I could see that currently PR can be automatically generated for external service item and non-stock material. Can we config to generate PR for service part (stock material)?
-> As Krishnan has mentioned, a PR cannot be automatically generated for a stock managed service part. From a process point of view, the assumption for stock managed parts is that the parts are already available in stock. Therefore, purchase orders/production orders are created independent of the service orders in order to ensure that the fulfillment of the parts in a service order.
2. If yes, can we create PR for type stock transfer (which will be converted to STO later).
-> For stock transport orders, the process directly starts with the creation of a purchase order (type UB). However, as mentioned in the previous point, such orders will be created independently from a service order, and cannot be triggered automatically upon the release of a service order containing stock managed materials.
3. At step of service confirmation, can we config to GI service part from specific storage location?
-> Yes, this can be done. As a general rule, the GI is posted from the Storage Location that is assigned to the Executing Service Technician that is entered in the Service Confirmation. This can be configured in Customizing (SSCUI 102883 "Assign Plant and Storage Location to Service Employee and Country/Region")
