gCTS for ABAP CDS Views

Hi All,

We have developed ABAP CDS Views on On-Prem S/4 HANA 2022 FPS02. We have configured and enabled gCTS for our S/4 system.

We want to leverage gCTS for ABAP CDS Views. For this, I have done the following:

1. Created a package and a Basic CDS View in ADT and captured it in a TR
2. Released the task and TR
3. Pushed the changes using gCTS Scheduler Job from local repo to remote repo on Git Server (GitHub in my case)

In GitHub repo, the CDS View appears as a JSON file and not as a CDS View how we see in ADT (screenshot attached).

Is there a way we can replicate the ADT look-and-feel in GitHub for both package and CDS View? This type of representation in GitHub makes it impossible for any kind of Peer Reviews/Code scans to be initiated through Pull Requests.

If you are looking for backup your CDS programs,
abapGit will be helpful for Import & export for supported items (Supported Object Types | abapGit Docs).
CDS is listed.
if you are looking for abapGit Implementation, will define the steps

Thank you Sandeep, but abapGIT is not officially supported by SAP for On-prem version. Hence we are looking at gCTS only at the moment.

Hi,
There is no way to change how ABAP objects are displayed on the Git side that had been pushed via gCTS.

We know that this is a topic, but there is currently no solution available in gCTS
