Dear Experts,
I am new to PM, as temporarily I am looking for PM. My client has requirement of frequent transferring of machines from one plant to another or from one company code to another. In these process, they want that accounting should not hit, but the machines should go on loan basis say for 1 week and then come back.
I can change plant from equipment master but not across company code. Secondly I will not get then number of machines at any time(means i have to count physically everytime).
So, how to map this scenario? Will this require Asset transfer integration from FI or any material movement integration from MM?
Regards,
Jitu
Hi,
If I am right, this senario is not possible in Plant Maintenance Module. We cannot send the Equipment outside without linking up to material.
If your client is related to construction industry and sending your equipment frequently, it is possible throught Equipment and Tools management ETM. It is available in Engineering Constrtuction and Operations Server (additional enhancement in ECC6.0).
In that all those senarios like leasing Equipment, rental system for equipment, sending outside to thrid party and so on with out hitting the finance.
Thanks & Regards
Srinivas

Hi,
Thru' IE02 (equipment master) u can do plant change (if in same company code) , but while doing this , Is your inventory gets affected?? I hope it will not affect to your inventory (as I think thru' plant change, the equivalent material inventory has no affect.......EXPERTS please correct me..)
But for machine transfer between company codes........you should consider it as Asset transfer (Contact your FI counterpart)...

Rajesh

Hi Jitu
How you have two company codes for one client ?...
As you your query... you can try this one
If its between plants ... you can do one thing
dismantle the equipment from the functional location and assemble with the new functional location.
I hope this will solve your query
