Free Goods Determination not getting determined in Sales Order - SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Hello Experts, 

Free Goods is not getting determined in Sales Order. I've enabled Free Goods Determination and free goods condition record, However, Free Goods is not getting determined in Sales Order.

In Assign Item Categories configuration, there is no option to include Free Goods Item category with usage Free option.

Could you please advise is there any option to determine Free Goods Item for Configurable item in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

Hello @thangarajthomas 

As per the standard, if you want to use the free goods determination process, certain business conditions need to be met:

• The material must be available in stock.
• If you are using trading goods, you can directly procure the material

Additionally, from a configuration perspective, the item category determination for free goods is based on usage and the higher-level item category, which cannot be edited in the current version.

Ideally, free goods are not applicable for make-to-order products. 

However, it would be great if you could explain your business requirement.

Hello Vivek, We do understand that configuration for item category determination (configurable) for free goods with usage free option is not available in 2408 version. We would like to know the update on adding up this feature or any other option available in 2408 version. Business requirement is to offer accessories(configurable) to customer on Free of charge and should be included as a separate line item in sales order. Thank you, kind regards Thangaraj Thomas
