Force element (DFPS SAP)

Hallo everyone,

I would like to know what is the main difference between Force Element and Organizational Unit(HR), I know that Force element is the enhancement of Organizational Unit.

Hi Aklilu,

how did you write, there is a closed relationship between Force Elements and Organizational Units. As you can see, the technical object types are the same. Force Elements enable organizational elements of armed forces, police, and aid organizations to be mapped, together with their specific properties and relationships.

When a force element is created and edited in the Structures Workbench, the system automatically creates an organizational unit or edits the underlying organizational unit.

First of all thank you very much for your explanations.

Can you please explain me the relationship 1:1 which exists between a force element and an organizational unit.

Do you mean the only thing commun between Force Element and Organizational Unit is the InfoType 1000.

Can we create a Force Element by doing PO10?

Hi Aklilu,

first of all, I think it is not possible to create force elements by using PO10. There is a special workbench in SDFPS which is appropriated for this.

If you have a large amount of objects you will use report /ISDFPS/CREATE_FORCE_FROM_ORGU. It generates force elements based of organizational units which were defined.

Hi Michael,

In fact I know we have to create Force Elements in the structure workbench but I do not understand where is the limit between Force Elements and Organizational Units because we can display the Force elements my the transaction PO10.

Suresh Datti said a 1:1 relationship exists between a force element and an organizational unit, I would like to know more about.

Hi Aklilu,

I was just quoting from SAP Help.. the 1:1 relationship just means that for every Force Element there exists an Org Unit in SAP. The integration of the Force Element with OM is via the Org Unit.
