Follow on material is not planned in MRP live

Dear Gurus,

I have the below issue when trying to plan follow on material with MRP live.

Below are the details of my scenario:

1. Material to be discontinued set up as per below in the material master:

2.  Follow on material is added to the BOM as per below:

- Follow on material is added as a new item:

- Discontinuation is set up for phase out material as below:

- Discontinuation data is set up for the follow on material as below:

3. Dependent requirement (sales order) is created for the header material:

4. Run MRP live with the below settings:

5. Planned order created for the header material, and also purchase requisition for the discontinued material but not preq-s for the follow on material.

- planned orders for the header material:

- Preq for the discontinued material

- No preq for the follow on material:

I already checked the following:

- /n/SAPAPO/RRPLOG1 --> No log found

- MD_MRP_PERFLOG --> No error:

- MD_MRP_FORCE_CLASSIC --> It says it is successfully planned

- It works with MD02 and both discontinued & follow on materials are planned correctly

- If I deactivate advanced planning for the follow-up material it also works with MRP live

I would appreciate it if you could provide some help on the root cause.
