Fiscal Period input parameter in custom analytical query default to current period

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement to build a custom analytical query using FMBDP and FMIFIIT tables. Both has the data maintained based on Fiscal period wise and there is a requirement to display the Budget and FI value for the current month / current period other than sum of from Period 001 to Period 016.

The custom analytical query will have an input of Fiscal period /Current Period with the current period value as default. 

For ex: If the user runs the report for this month, then the Fiscal/Current period input has 009 as default. 

How this can be achieved in the custom analytical query? 

if we cannot make it in the Custom analytical query and it can be achieved by CDS view as a column/field using the system date or date function then please advise how it can be determined or write the logic for the same.
