Field "settlement cost element" (COAS-KSTAR)

Hello,

We have activated the field "settlement cost element" (COAS-KSTAR) for internal orders in customizing. Now this field is only visable when creating a new internal order but we also want to use this field for the existing internal orders.

How can we make this field visable for exsting orders or is this just not possible due to earlier settelement on the order?

I contacted SAP about this issue and this is their answer:

The "Settlement to one receiver" fields are no longer available

as soon as a settlement rule has been created.

If an order has not been settled yet, it is still possible to

delete the settlement rule and then the fields would be available

again.

However once a settlement rule has been used, it can no longer

be deleted (for consistency reasons, i.e. reversals).

That is why for orders that have already been settled you will not

be able to see the "settlement cost element" field.

So it is simply not possible for existing orders.

Hello Sahib,

I assume you face an issue with the status dependent field selection.

I would try transaction KOT2-OPA (Customizing/Internal Orders/Master Data/Screen/field selection).

Select the order type you have the issue with.

Then you see section which refers to the master data presentation and one section referring to the

status maintenance.

I assume you have a (user) status scheme with sequence numbers in place.

If yes, the fields you can select might depend on the status.

Example: Order creation => field visible; order created (not new) field not visible anymore.

Thanks for your reply, I know what you mean but that is not the case here. There are no status dependent field selections configured in any of our ordertypes. We don't use this functionality.

Just to make sure I also tried to reset the status type of existing orders but that doesn't make a difference.

   Yes this field will be visible when you do the Transaction KO02 [Change Internal Order].

I know but only for new orders not for existing orders.

Please read carrefully before anwering a question
