Hello -
Can anyone please tell me the difference between these two transaction codes: FGI3 and GRR3?
I have searched very hard to find this information and I don't see it anywhere.
Thank you,
Emmas

FGI3 is for FI Drill Down reporting where GRR3 is for Report Painter. It depends on what you are trying to create a report for. GL balances for example would likely be better in FGI3 (FGI1 actually) where CO (Cost Center, Internal Order, etc.) reports are typically done in GRR3 (GRR1 actually)
They are different types of reporting tools each typically for their respective area. Both are pretty to create reports with, that is once you have done one.

Hi David -
Thanks for the response!
I have created reports in both transaction.
For example, posting key is not available on the FAGFLEXT table in FGI1 but it is in GRR1.
Also, I tried using a Set in FGI1, but it said "the hierarchy doesn't exist."
But if I go to a GRR1, I can use the exact same set successfully.
Is there anyway to know what the list of differences are?
I just want to feel confident when I tell my client why they have to go to different tcodes to execute reports.
Best Regards and Thank you for your reply.
