F4 help do not populate value

Hi All,

I have faced a strange error. F4 on vendor help shows the vendor values but when the vendor is selected the value is not populated in the cell.

Problem is with one user only and not global.

Request for pointers to the problem.

open 2 sessions:

first one with SU01 -> Parameters for your problem user id;

second one with SU01 -> Parameters for user id which is not in problem but has the same Roles;

find the difference in parameter ID or/and parameter value

if still no success

compare these users by Customize Local Layout (Alt+F12):

Hi Subhrajit,

have you tried log in with a different user id from the same machine to ensure that it is not a GUI issue ? If you get the same problem with a different user id also then please remove and reinstall the GUI.&

For the same GUI installed Users Id is working properly for quality system but not in production.

So I hope there is not GUI issue or can GUI behave differently for quality and production when logged in through same PC?

Hi Subhrajit,

It should not behave differently between Quality and Production server. But did you try with different user ids in Production system on the same machine ?

Hi Guys,

I have checked and matched the authorization, parameters from the system in which users id is working properly to system where it s not working properly.

However when I check Customers in FBL5N it is getting populated in the cell properly but not the vendors. IS there any thing specific to vendors.

I have checked the settings in Se11 and OB50. All looks fine. In fact if there is any change in these settings it will affect all users and not one user.

In our case value is not getting populated for 1 user.

Any more pointers?

Hi Subhrajit,

If the issue is only for one user and you already checked authorization part which is fine, can you please ask the user to log in in some other machine and check? It could be GUI issue as well.

We did so, even we copied user ID details of SU01 and created test id, but there it works fine.

What needs to be checked in GUI level

Let me be clear: Issue happens for 1 user and issue happens only when selecting vendors.

Consider any T-Code which has got Vendor Fields:

FBL1N or MIRO

F4 done on FBL1N or MIRO to search for vendors.

Next you get your vendor as per search criteria.

You select it

But the box in FBL1n or MIRO remains emplty. Value does not get populated
