External work centers to our operations in the work order

How can we assign external work centers to our operations in the work order

Hello Jaya ,

We can assign the external work centers to the maintenance  order in operations tab by clicking on F4 help but there are some prerequisites :

1. The work center needs to be created against the work center .
2. The work center category needs to be 0005 - Plant Maintenance .

After creating work center you just need to create a maintenance order in that in operations tab you can find 

here the work center will appear and you need to select the appropriate work center here . And also if external services are needed that is to perform a task in operations tab through external service then we need to raise Purchase requestion and then the Material Managament people will convert it into Purchase order and then Service entry sheet .

to create a work center you just need to use t-code IR01 and here the plant and name of work center needs to created and also cross check with the FICO team for activity types so that the costing will be done here .

Enter plant--

Work center Name- name of the work center

Work center cat.-- category of work center eg 0001 for machine

in Basic data view enter following details

Person responsible--

Usage--eg 009 all task list types

Standard value key-- eg SAP1

Default values view

Control Key-- pp01 for InHouse production

setup--eg MIN

Machine--eg MIN

Labor-- eg MIN

Capacities view

Capacity category-001 for machine

setup formula--SAP005 for set up requirements

Processing formula--SAP006 for machine requirements

hit enter and in the work cemter capacity maintain the following:

Base unit of measure -- eg HR

Start time--

Finish time--

Length of breaks--

capacity utilization--100 for 100% utilization

No of indiv cap--eg 1 or total no of capacities

Scheduling View

Capacity category- 001 for machine

Setup formula -- SAP001 for prod set up time

Processing formula-- SAP002 for machine time

Costing view

Controlling area-- Check with FICO team

Cost center-- check with FICO team

Setup avtivity type - acvtivity unit-- formula--SAP001

Machine avtivity type - acvtivity unit-- formula--SAP002

Labor avtivity type - acvtivity unit-- formula--SAP003
