Extension fields for workforce replication into S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Dear Team,

Currently integrating Workforce master data into S/4HANA Public Cloud using SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) and SOAP APIs, and we need to use custom fields in our process. 

Therefore we have two queries: 

1. Inbound (CPI → S/4): It seems custom fields are not available in this setup via SOAP APIs. Is there a way to enable or work around this?
2. Outbound (S/4 → CPI): When you add custom fields to Workforce, events can’t be triggered or don’t include the custom fields in the payload. How can you send these fields to CPI — via events, CDS views, or another method?

Any guidance on how to implement custom fields in this scenario would be appreciated!

Hello, 

Custom fields are currently not available when integrating Workforce data via CPI and SOAP APIs in S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. This functionality is only available when using Master Data Integration (MDI). More information is available here: Extension Fields for Workers | SAP Help Portal.

However, starting from CE2508, support for custom fields will be added for Local Workers created through the Manage Workforce app.
