Hello,
I'm curious to know the sequence of rules for which MRP doesn't include materials.
We are deactivating materials in a specific plant. Some of these materials have MRP Type ND - no planning or PD - MRP. Before setting the plant specific material status to 90 - deleted, is there an advantage to first setting the MRP type to ND? Is there a sequence of the rules for which MRP doesn't look at materials that should be excluded? Our intention is to help MRP be as efficient as possible.
Thanks for any advice.
Chris
Request clarification before answering.
Hello
If you only select a status that won't allow the MRP run, your material will still be selected for planning and an error message will be triggered during the MRP run. If you have too many materials in this situation, it may affect the MRP overall performance.
When you set the MRP type ND, the planning file will be deleted, which means that your material won't be selected for planning anymore, which is the best solution in this case.
