Excel Pop up issue in some reports

Hi all,

We have some reports when run, the report pops up in excel. Now the issue, few of our users when execute in their system they r not getting the report pop up in excel. However, if they log in to my system using their user ID, the excel pops. I am also able to do so in my system with my user ID.

Does anyone know if there is setting which needs to be turned on/off in SAP or excel. The macro setting of mine and user is set to low in the excel.

Hi,

If you using Excel 2010 or higher version, then you should open excel then open the below path

File-> Options->General - User Interface options. Select second radio button "Optimize for compatibility".

I have tested in GUI 760.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am using FUNCTION 'TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP' to upload the file and was getting the same error.

Yes, it will work. Please close all your excel and start again.

It is very much in SAP on the report output setting. Aditionally, you could check the settings for office integration from the menu.

But i dont see any environment tab or options tab where i can check office integration. Are there any other setting if anyone is aware of

Hi

Under office integration select Microsoft Excel.

If this is not what you were referring to do give more details along with the transaction code for the report.

Apologize if my question is not clear.

We have an abap report in which I enter the selection criterea, the report will pop in excel. No SAP screen in output. Excel will pop up with the selection criterea entered.

1) I executre report in my system and I get the excel output.

2) User executes the same report in his system and does not get the output

3) User executes the same report in my system using his user ID and the report pops up.

In the ABAP report, there is no option to select Office Intergration.

Now, there is something different in my system and user system. Does anyone know what can it be so that when user execute report in his systme, he gets the excel output.

Check the excel version in the user's computer. Which release are you in, both sap and excel. This may be something to do with xl more than SAP?

Hi

Also check the security.

Open any excel sheet in the user's PC and go to Tools > Macro > Security.

Ensure :

1) Security level tab - is set to Medium or Low and

2) Trusted Publishers tab - "Trust all installed add-inns and templates" is ticked/selected.
