estricting Invoice Quantity Field to Whole Numbers in SAP B&I

Hi everyone,

I'm new to SAP and currently working with a generic implementation of SAP B&I integrated with our ERP system. I was wondering if there's a way to restrict the invoice quantity field to accept only whole numbers (i.e., integer values).

Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, this can be done. You will need to log a case and request the scale field on the Invoice class to be set to 0. If a decimal value is inputted on the quantity field, then the system will throw a hard stop error.

Thank you so much! As a follow up is it possible to add this restriction only on goods commodities that should be received and invoiced in whole. I.e. It is difficult to receive half of a car?

If you need it to be imposed on specific commodities or item categories then a validity condition should be put into place and for that you will need to go to SAP services for a customization.
