Error while Selling Asset - "Special Stock Q not supported (check your entry)"

Dear All,

Scenario -

I am running a scenario where I need to sell an Asset ( an equipment maintained at a yard  - Yard is a combination of Plant & Storage Location) for

a Special Stock ( Project Stock-  Q ) containing WBS Element.

Movement Type being used is - 251

I am using " BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE" to post Goods Movement. To BAPI, I am passing 'SPEC_STOCK' and 'VAL_WBS_ELEMENT' with the values 'Q' and the corresponding value of WBS Element respectively along with the other required values.

When run, this BAPI returns the error - "Special Stock Q not supported (check your entry)" .

Could you please let me know the reason for the same & how to proceed in such a scenario

Hi,

   Go to MB1A and check the F4 help for movement type. Here, you wont see the combination of 251 and special stock Q. The combination is not allowed in standard and hence caused the error. Move the stock to unrestricted stock and then issue against 251 movement.

hello ,

what is the scenario you are trying to do. Asset sale to customer can be done with F-92

if you are looking for some movement type which issues the unrestricted material to project stock then use 221Q movement type or use 281 Q movement to issue it to network.

Hi,

251 movement type is GI for sales order consumption.

and it is not supported for Project stock "Q"

It should be 231Q - Consumption for sales order from Unrestricted Project stock.
