Error VL150 not getting triggered

Hi,

I have a material with availability check 02 in the material master.

When I try to create a delivery from a sales order and there's no stock of this material in the storage location chosen in it, I get 2 different results:

  1. If the storage location is not WM managed, then error VL150 pops up when I try to create a delivery.
  2. If the storage location is WM managed, no errors pop up and I can create the delivery without a problem, despite not having any stock to pick.

Is there any extra configuration WM wise to make this error show up?

It makes sense that if there's no stock in the IM storage location, the system prevents me from creating the delivery.

Debugging the code, it's easy to see that the standard does not perform the same checks for these 2 scenarios, the structure T185 is diferent in the form fcode_bearbeiten.

How can I get the same check for these 2 scenarios?

Thanks and best regards.

Hi Francisco,

Your problem is quite strange, WM does not have anything to do with availability checks, that happens at MM level. I think there has to be another reason and the WM assignment is probably only a coincidence. I'd check the following:

1. is the wm-managed storage location planned separately?

2. is the item category different when you create the delivery at IM than at WM storage locations?

3. Are there any planned receipts in the WM-managed storage location that would allow the delivery creation?

You could also take a look at CO09 to see how is the system checking for availability in both cases. But for sure it's not related to WM settings in SAP Standard.
