Error - Serial number already in use. select new serial number

Hi,

I'm new in SAP B1 and I need help with the following issue:

"Serial number AA2226 already in use. select new serial number"

In the Goods Receipt document, it does not allow to create the document and shows the error "Serial number AA2226 already in use. select new serial number",

I checked whether the serial number used already exists and does not exist. I am not finding information about this issue.

The version is SAP 9.3 PL 05

Any sugestion in how to resolve this?

Hi, I checked and didn't find the serial number. I tried generated a new serial number and the error persisted. So, a consultant told me to elevate a ticket to SAP.

Check the particular serial number is allocated to any sales order.

Try this one,

1.Goto Main menu or Modules

2.Administration-->System Initialisation-->General Settings

3. Stock tab-->Item tab

4. Change Unique serial number by "None"
