Error - profit center or business area is different in the contract and the valuation object

Hi all,

After changing the cost centre and profit centre for a lease contract under Contract Management > Organizational Assignment Rule > Profit Center, we are getting the following error when trying to process the valuation:

"The profit center or business area is different in the contract and the valuation object"

The profit centre for the contract in the error message is still showing the old value. Unsure where this is coming from. Is anyone able to please advise where to go to change this?

Hi all,

the overall logic for changes of the organizational term is described in note  https://me.sap.com/notes/3008264/en.

There is a certain logic in n regards to the display of the wrong values in error message. The system tries first to retrieve the profit center from the contract by the "First posting from date" or "Start of Consideration date". So it is hard to judge with the given information how the situation in your concrete case looks like.
