[Error] Ledger Z2 defined in CoCd JB01 is not active in chart of depreciation 1110

When I tried to create a PO based on an Asset, I got the following error:

Ledger Z2 defined in CoCd JB01 is not active in chart of depreciation 1110

Message no. ACC_AA096

Diagnosis

Ledger Z2 is assigned to company code JB01.

However, this ledger is not used in any ledger group that is assigned to a depreciation area of chart of depreciation 1110.

System Response

• The system issues this error message if you execute program RASFIN_MIGR_PRECHECK.

• If you make changes in Customizing, they cannot be saved.

• If you post a document, the posting is terminated.

Procedure

Check the ledger assigned to your company code; check it in the general ledger and in Asset Accounting (in the chart of depreciation).

Hi,

You need to create a depreciation area per ledger group you created in the company code assigned to chart of depreciation in question.

Appreciate your comment. I opted to disable the said ledger because adding depreciation area will add another error. This is a test environment anyway.
