Dear Gurus,
Recently we have transferred the equipment from one plant to another plant. Now we want to transfer the task list, maintenance Item and Plan for the transferred equipments. Following are the steps we have planned to do
1) Download the task list data for transferred equipments
2) Remove the equipment, task list from Maintenance Item
3) Delete the Equipment Task List
4) Add the Equipment task list for new Plant
5) Include the equipment task list in the same Maintenance Item
6) Reschedule the Maintenance Plan
Will the above steps whatever we have planned will have any impact later / It is good to keep the old plant task list and create new task list with different group counter, new maintenance item and new plan.
I would like to know your valuable inputs and guidance.

Hi Senthil,
It all depends on the new condition where your equipment is installed. If there is no change in task list activities then task list should be kept same else create new the task list.
If your maintenance item parameter are same (like order type planner group) then your maintenance item should be same else create new maintenance item.
If your maintenance plan scheduling parameter and cycle is same then your maintenance plan also should be same else create new maintenance plan.

Thanks for your valuable input. The other plant they want to hvae the same task list, Maintenance Item and Plan. There will not be any change in the parameters, just need to maintain the same and resechedule the maintenance plan for the new plant. This is what their requirement is they are not bothered whether to keep new task list/ item/plan. the plant owners they need to have the PM orders generated for the transferred equipmetns.

Hi Senthil,
For the equipment transfer from one plant to another plant you can use following method.
1st Method:-using T-code IE02
1) Using T-code IE02 , go to structure tab click on the icon front of the functional loc field.
2) First dismantle the functional location.
3) then go to location tab click on the icon that is front of the Maint plant and change the plant in which you want to transfer the equipment,as you change the plant some fields will be blank like location ,room,plant section etc so enter the value of these fields.
4) the last step is go to again structure and assign the functional location and save them.
2nd Method for mass equipment transfer
Create upload using following BAPI
1) BAPI_EQUI_CHANGE
2) BAPI_EQUI_DISMANTLE
3) BAPI_EQUI_INSTALL
3rd Method
Create LSMW but some time it gives error if you defined new own equipment category.
If you are using standard equipment category then it will work properly

Dear Senthil,
Whatever you have planned is good as solution as per my concern and so far if you are concern with the history, then it will already be available with the previous PM orders of the same plan.
Now when you reschedule the plan then rather than deleting the old calls just skip them and create new schedule in same plan.
