Enable Variant Config. screen in VA01/VA21

Hi,

I want to create a Quotation/Order in VA21/VA01 with a configurable material.

But the configuration screen of VA21 is in disabled mode and not accepting input.

Is there any settings missing for that screen?

Please help in this regard.

Hi Rajesh

are you using a z material or a standard one . ?

Please check the following

1.Goto Transaction OMS2 and check if the material type you are using has the tick mark in "material is configurable "

2. In the material master goto Basic data 2 and check if the "material is configurable" tick is present .

3.Got CU42 select Material , and select the config profile . Goto the Userinterface tab and click on the button Settings .Goto Tab configurator check if Configurator has been given as permanent .

If you are able to get the Configuration scren but every thing is coming greyed out then you need to check if the documnt you have created has been created with reference to another document . Sap has certain resriction in this regard .

the 3rd point helped me to show BOM "Result" Screen inside the Sales Order screen VA01

Apart from what ever explained above , please also check strategy group in MRP 3 view .

Please check the customizing as outlined in the 2 notes 621531 and 971156

Especially note 971156 and

In transaction OVZG, check which value is maintained for the indicator

'configuration' in the requirements class valid for the item.

The following setting options exist:

'+' Configuration is mandatory

'*' Configuration is allowed

'-' Configuration is not allowed
