Enable Now experience for content authors after migration to Cloud

Looking for information on the user experience for content creators after on-prem version of Enable Now is migrated to the cloud.

Is Producer still used in the same manner, in conjunction with Enable Now Manager?

What is the log-in experience to create content?

Are work areas mapped differently?

Is there a difference to how content is created?

I can find a lot of info on back end processes to connect the tool, but I am looking for details on the experience specifically for content creators. Thanks!

Hi Tracey,

There are definitely some differences between how you start Producer for On Premise versus how you start Producer for the Cloud solution and after opening Producer for the Cloud version you cannot switch between Workspaces.  However, you can open Producer for multiple Workspaces simultaneously, if you like.

Producer is very similar in both solutions, it's likely even the same executable code.  The really big differences between the two solutions are based on the Manager database.  If your version of Manager is installed on SQL Server, the Cloud version will have significantly more capability because it is installed on HANA.  If your On Premise version is already installed on HANA, the only major differences that you will notice, other than starting Producer and connecting to Workspaces, is if your version of On Premise is out of date.  Switching to Cloud obviously means that your system is permanently on the latest edition.

Regards
Shane

Thanks, Shane, that all makes sense. Can you please describe or point me to materials that describe exactly with the logon / Connection experience will be? Myself and a colleague have been trying to find screenshots and/or a description, and we are coming up short in the volume of material on this site. Really just look for a clear articulation of what users will experience and what the interface will look like. Appreciate any guidance you may have. Thanks, Tracy
