Enable Journal Entry Review Workflow for Journal Upload Template

We have the S4HANA (on prem) journal entry verification workflow in operation and it is working for journals manually entered using the verify journal entries Fiori app, however, our controllership also uses a lot of journal entry uploads (using the S4 JE upload Excel template and program).

When uploading a JE template, S4HANA does not route the uploaded JE to the JE verification approval workflow.

How can we set the JE verification workflow to be triggered also for JEs entered via the standard upload program?

You will have to use the Verify General Journal Entries app to trigger the workflow for Manual as well as Upload Excels. You will need to make sure you have the "Submit" button available on the screen as this will trigger the workflow.

If you use the Upload General Journal Entries app directly, workflow will not be triggered.
