Embedded Excel (Excel within the GUI) not working and it opens as a separate Excel

Dear Experts,

Even after carrying out the recommended setting in Excel (As given in the SAP note 2739132) to overcome the issue given in the caption , still could not get a solution.

Setting recommended - In Excel - File -Option - General -under "User interface option" - select "optimize for compatibility". then restart the application.

Can someone kindly shade some light on this how to resolve.

I have a similar issue in BPC Admin window. When trying to modify dimension members excel open in seperate window. tried adjusting scaling and compatibility setting in Excel and nothing works. Anyone have any idea? It seems latest Office update broke this.

I have the same issue and confirmed it's related to the latest Office update but don't know how to resolve.
