We could see multiple KOFL invoices in the EDI system for the same invoice number we are expecting only the ZED2 invoice.
Need to know why both ZED2 and ZEDI invoices are being sent for KOFL and how we have crossed check the NACE transaction unable to find any details.
Request clarification before answering.
Hello,
In your scenario, it appears that you are receiving multiple EDI messages for the same invoice number when you are expecting only the ZED2 invoice. This situation commonly arises due to the way output conditions are configured in your SAP system, specifically within the NACE transaction for output determination.
Here's a breakdown of what you can do to investigate and resolve this issue:
1. **Check Output Condition Records:**
- Navigate to the NACE transaction and verify the output types configured for your billing document. Each document type could have separate output conditions defined.
- Ensure that only the desired output type (ZED2) is set to trigger for the document type KOFL.
2. **Review Output Determination Procedures:**
- Confirm that the output determination procedure assigned to your billing documents includes only the necessary output types.
- You might need to review the access sequence to ensure it's not causing multiple outputs to trigger for the same condition.
3. **Duplicate Output Configuration:**
- Check if there are any duplicate entries or conditions that could trigger both ZED2 and ZEDI output types.
- Sometimes, copy control settings or user exits might inadvertently duplicate outputs.
4. **Analyze Condition Table and Records:**
- Using the condition table, review any active condition records for the outputs (ZED2 and ZEDI) to see if they're correctly aligned with your expectation.
5. **Review EDI Output Processing:**
- Use the “Manage Output Items” app if available to process or troubleshoot EDI outputs.
- You might also want to retrigger EDI messages as necessary using the output control.
6. **Error Logs and Diagnosis:**
- Explore any logs for messages or errors related to the output processing that may give clues to misconfigurations or overlapping triggers.
