ECC workflow contract MM approval question

Hello Expert,

We have ECC and we use value contract MM.

When the contract is approved, the user can change the target value (put higher) , then the system will trigger again the approval workflow.

My question is that if we don't change the target value, but we change only the validity end date (to extend), the system does not trigger the workflow.

Is there a way to trigger again the workflow in such scénario?

Hi,

In standard, if the document still under the same release strategy, the release strategy will reset only if there is a change in the total value - this is standard behavior - refer the FAQ: 493900 - FAQ: Release Strategy - Q3.

If you need the release to be reset upon changing the validity, you need to go for enhancement.
