Early Inspection Lot for Co-Product material.

Hello, we are in 2022 S4 with embedded EWM and having Co-Product production in the process order. The ask is to generate early Inspection Lot on process order release.

The early inspection lot generation is working for main product, but no inspection lot is generated for Co-Product.

Appreciate for any input.

perhaps there is some way to develop but before you start any development it would be good to think about the process flow.

You want to create an inspection lot without an planned event. In standard early inspection lot is created based on the release of process/production order event. In environment without EWM you can manually create a 04 inspection lot with reference to process/production order - this scenario is not valid for your case.

Even if EWM would permit manual inspection lot creation you lack a process/production order.

Perhaps you could think about collective order scenario. In such a case you have an production order for the co product and you can create the inspection lot at release - early inspection lot creation.

Well, the business process is very legit, by the way collective order will not work here. May be combined order.

I don't think this is possible. In this scenario you would need to have two inspection lots with same origin created at order release. You could however have one 03 (in process) origin and one 17 origin (at goods receipt) but unfortunately 03 inspection lot is not stock relevant.

Similar issue is with coproduct inspection at goods receipt because EWM does not support miscellaneous inspection (inspection type 05) - see note 2545012. Furthermore, inspection lots with 17 origin cannot be create manually.

Is there a way out, may be some custom development to create 04 Inspection lot for co-product before GR. ?
