Required to bill 2 phases of a phased contract together in CI.
Eg.
Phase 1: 01.01.2025 to 30.06.2025
Phase 2: 01.07.2025 to 31.12.2025
Here the scenario is Billing in Advance. The Start of Billing date is 01.01.2025, for both the phases, but the 'Valid from' and 'Term from' is '01.07.2025', 'Next Request Date' in phase 2 is 01.07.2025 so the BITs cannot be requested until 01.07.2025
Although 'Start of billing date' is given, it is not reflected on BIT creation. Not sure if anything else is missing. Any solution to this scenario? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Start of billing date is used in scenarios where billing is supposed to be done at a later stage depending on certain pre-defined process, e.g., equipment activation or free period at start. Start of billing cannot be earlier than the Start of contract timeslice date. With respect to phased contract, it won't work as future phases have Start of timeslice dates in future.
SOM in standard has delivered early billing feature in S/4HANA 2023 FPS2 where a contract can be billed in advance even when it has not started. The scenario you explained with phased contract can leverage this feature. So, you can provide Early Billing date (same as Contract Start date in your case) in future phases and that will be passed to Diff. Requested Date in CI billing plan and hence all phases could be billed together on that day. Thanks.
Phase 1: 01.01.2025 to 30.06.2025 and Phase 2: 01.07.2025 to 31.12.2025 with Early billing date 01.01.2025.
