We are working on the implementation of the S4 Hana Pulbic Colud - 2208.And we see there are preventive and proactive maintaience in the SAP - SAP Best Practices for SAP S/4HANA Cloud. I am not able to find much diffference - Can some one clarify on this.

Related to your question, as of SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2302, this scope item "Preventive Maintenance (BJ2)" is deprecated.

We recommend that you use the successor scope item 4HI (Proactive Maintenance).

This is the reason why significant differences cannot be observed, is that Proactive Maintenance is the successor.
