Hi Experst,
I am setting up an e-Recruitment system in Ehp3 integrated system.
I am configuring the web application services for the erecruitment with service users.
I am planning to use the BSP for recruiter, administrator, Manger, decision maker. for candidate services i want to use webdynpro services.
in the services SICF i found there are three types of nodes as given below.
Default_host>sap>bc>BSP>sap--> hrrcf* services
Default_host>sap>bc>erecruiting>application wizard to start page 10 services
Default_host>sap>bc>webdynpro>sap--> hrrcf* services
For the scenarios of BSP and webdynpro in ehp3 system which are the above nodes should be used to configure the services.
what for is the erecruiting node is for? Do any of those servvices with service user to be activated?
Also we are building another ehp4 system in Mid July to configure the complete webdynpro solution with erecuritment enhancement 3 activation at SFW5. In this system which are the services to be activated with service users?
Appreciate your help.
Roman Weise, Christian Holst or any one can send me a techinical configuration guides.
Thanks and regards
Varadhan
Hello Varadhan,
the services you found in ICF are necessary for sap e-recruiting. the bsp subtree includes most of the recruiter, admin, decisioonmaker stuff, erecruiting and webdynpro include the services for the candidates (except 2 or 3 which are also in the bsp tree).
There is no complete documentation which services need to be activated. Some do not need activation as they are only called indirectly applications others like requesting questionaire from candidate are only needed if you really use this function in your business scenario. So usually customers start by activating them all on the development system. For production there is either a separeted test based on more finalized processes or all services are activated and blocking is done in the network infrastructure (wab application firewall, reverse proxy, ...).
When you check SPRO in the technical settings of e-rec you will find "activate services" nodes, which leads you to SICF, for the web dynpro ui the description of this IMG node includes a list of services requiring the service user. As the service user is for candidate scenarion only there should be no need to set them for BSP (except wher web dynpro falls back to bsp).
The candida services for EhP4 do not differ from EhP3 so the same settings apply here.
Best Regards
Roman

Hi Roman
Thank you for the detailed reply.
I did the following settings in the SICF.
1) Assigned service user for all candidate services as identified in the IMG description for Maintain services node of IMG.
I have used the BSP services for candidates also.
I have assigned the service user and logon password. Security requirement is marked as standard.
After this activation i had generated the url using the report and I can work on all the start pages of erecruitment. Some pages are giving error and should be resolved.
But the problem is the Portal Jco connection got affected. The ESS/MSS Jco setting did not recognize the backend system for portal. the whole ESS/MSS services got affected after the erecruitment setting is performed for SICF.
Is there any relation between this SICF and Jco setting?
Please help to resolve this.
With best regards
Varadhan Dhina
