Duplicate MPN created for same internal material no and manufacturer combination.

Hi Team,

Do we any validation/ Message to check duplicate combination of internal material and manufacturer while creating a MPN material.

Example - I have created a MPN -10000001 with internal material - 400001 and manufacturer - 3000006. Now I am creating  MPN -10000002 with same internal material and manufacturer, system is allowing. I want a error message here.

There is no standard validation in SAP to prevent the creation of duplicate manufacturer part numbers (MPNs) for the same internal material and manufacturer combination. 

I think that this could be done through user exits, or custom logic in the MPN creation process.
