Display Materials belongs to relevant plant only in PM orders

Hi Experts,

Our client has 3 different company codes and multiple plants. So we have given authorization by plants i.e users are allowed to do transactions only in their relevant plant.

In Maintenance order, Components tab, when a user is trying to enter a material, it displays material (with same name) in other plants as well. Even though a user is restricted to a plant, if he search materials using "Plant Material by Description" option, it displays the materials of other plants as well.

Is there a way to restrict the display of material codes only to their relevant plant? Preferably using authorization? (but any other methods are also welcome)

Material codes are extended across plants

For me, the easiest way to resolve this is to have your Security person run an STAUTHTRACE on the user in question so they can see what authorizations are occurring when they search for the materials and happen to see the other plants.

Note that in S/4HANA the F4 value help becomes its own authorization object so it may be better to control in S/4HANA
