Hello Experts,
Could you please help me to understand the concept and difference between New and Classical PCA.
Thanks,
Mateen.
Hi Mateen
The Classical PCA is based on the concept of Special Purpose Ledger, where you have a ledger separate than FI. This is not integrated with FI on real time basis in the sense that P&L accounts are transferred to PCA real time, but majority of B/S Accounts are transferred at period end.. This usually poses reconciliation issues with FI, as PCA Tables are separate
In New GL, PCA has been merged with FI. Hence, it is real time. GL dimension and PC dimension both exist in same Table FAGLFLEXA.. Hence, FI and PCA always reconcile.. Both P&L and B/S accounts are posted to PCA real time
