Difference between IA15 and IA21

Hi Experts

I need to know the difference between IA15 and IA21 transactions. Both relate to tasklist change documents.

But, we have a typical scenario - for a tasklist, package was changed. This change is recorded in IA15 but not seen in IA21.

In the action log of tasklist, it is visible.

But why is it missing in IA21?

Please help me explain the difference between these two.

Thanks in Advance

Regards

Hi Pavan,

Basically these transaction codes are used for :-:

  • IA15 - Document Information
  • IA21 - Document Evaluation

If you are wanting all the change documents as per IA15/21, then you need to look at tables CDHDR and CDPOS.

If you only want the person who made the last change, then this can be derived from tables PLKO or PLPO.

Furthermore, if you want to track who creates and makes changes in PM task lists for equipment, function locations, and general task lists then use following steps: -

Table

PLKO

Fields:

PLNTY  --  Tasklst type

PLNNR  -- Tasklist Group

PLNAL  -- GroupCounter

ANDAT -- Created On

AENAM -- Person Changed

AEDAT  -- Date Changed

Have Quickview report through SQVI, by having all these fields in both Selction screen andOutput (ALV list).

SQVI is simple tool. Alternatively you can use Tcode SE16 to directly query from the Table PLKO.

Hi Lalit

Thanks for your response.

I am aware of these tables and transactions. I need to find out the difference between IA15 and IA21, only them I can understand why few entries are missing in IA21.
