End user

- can be a key user as well

- just to data entry work & may or may not know about the impact of the master data entry that they are doing

Key user

- all the end user are not key users

- one who knows the impact of what exactly that they are doing

- who has more knowledge about business process & sometime system process as well

- someone who holds big positions

these end user & key user might vary from place to place

For the "End User", you should look up the definition on Wikipedia.

I don't know where the term "Key User" came from, but I would believe that it is somewhat comparable to a "Super User", namely someone who knows how to be a User and more, such as where the information(data) is, how it is used/processed, how to retrieve it, etc...

Hello

End user = ordinary user, and Key user = it's a key user ^^.

For example, the latter may be the person chosen to describe the needs of his team/service -  or the person who shall be trained first in the new software application, and then after he will train the ordinary users in his team.

The key is the difference between them, because he has more responsability on his team and he is not necessary an admin, just a referent if you prefer
