Difference between DTW and import from Excel

I have been using the DTW for a couple of years and like to know the difference between that and the import from Excel.

Hi jbrotto,

DTW uses DI API to import/update the data.

If the problem does not exist when updating manually in SAP, does this mean that it will also not be reproducible with import from excel? It is not necessary. The issue may still occur with Import From Excel option.

Kindly note that Import from Excel is not equal to SAP Business Client or DI API, they all are different.

Import From Excel is using import from excel logic + BO logic however without UI logic, so still different from SAP Business One Client, more like DI behavior but not the same (DI is DI logic + BO logic).

I haven't used Import From Excel extensively. However, as far as I have used/know, there is no simulation or test mode.
