I have received a customer query regarding the definition of the Email sender, how could be configured.
Request clarification before answering.
Output Control offers the Email Settings determination step (within Output Parameter Determination) to individually configure the sender email address in a more flexible way using business rules. The settings in this determination step overwrite the default sender email address from the business application.
There are 3 ways to determine sender email address in S/4HANA output management. I'm listing them below with the priority of determination order.
1. The sender email address maintained in Determine Step: Email Settings within App 'Output Parameter Determination'. It has the highest priority.
2. The sender email address maintained in every business application - for example, for billing document, the sender email address comes from the email address maintained in its sales organization.
3. The Default Sender Email Address SSCUI. It only works when no sender email is determined, with the lowest priority of determination.

Hello Pedro,
Thanks for your reply!! It was really helpful!
Wondering if there is an option to have Output Parameter > Email Setting to pick up the Default Sender Emails from config?
It appears that if the Output Parameter > Dunning > Email Setting > Sender email address is not maintained, the system still uses the previous sender email address instead of the default one. Is that the case in general?
Thank you very much in advance!
Kind regards,
Sunny
