Depreciation Keys - Declining Balance Half year Convention

Hello,

Does S4HC provide depreciation keys in USA for declining balance half year method (without bonus calculation)? We only see keys Y150 and Y200 which are for mid-quarter convention. It is mandated that my client uses half year convention instead of mid-quarter convention.

Hi Jacob,

Y150 and Y200 are obsolete keys and they were replaced with S150 and S200 in 1902 if I remember correctly.

The keys starting with DB in description are relevant for declining balance.

S150 and S200 are both marked as using half year method.

S151 and S201 are listed as declining balance for mid-quarter convention.

The keys you mention (S150, S200, S151, S251) are not available in our system. Below is the full list available to us as we retrieved from the "Depreciation Key: Display Details" app

Hi Jacob,

if you have USA as country activated in the system and the SXXX keys are not there when you select 1710 in the app Depreciation Key: Display Details you need to open a customer incident so that the support team can check why the content is not activated.

Please confirm what is available related with depreciation keys in the app Depreciation keys details.

If doesn't fit you requirement, please explain the same to your assigned customer facing roles (CEE, CSM, PE) and they will guide you on proper channel to address the same, whether via Influence Portal or Customer requirement process, depending on the criticality of the topic for your running implementation.

Please note that Depreciation keys are not usually accepted by default unless there is a legal requirement beyond it, so please when discussion with my colleagues, also add the legal context in case the same apply.
